Plain English, on purpose. There is no small print on this page and nothing important buried at the bottom of a long paragraph. If a line is unclear, or you cannot find what you came here for, tell us and we will rewrite it.

These terms govern your use of Telore. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

Telore is accounting software provided by Telore Ltd. It helps you record and understand your company's finances and prepare information for filing.

Telore is not your accountant

We are a software provider, not an accountancy practice, and nothing in the product is accounting, tax or legal advice. Figures presented as estimates are estimates. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your records and for what you file. If your affairs are complicated, take professional advice.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what is done under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access.

How we contact you

Running your account means sending you email: confirming your address, resetting a password, telling you about a security event, sending the invoices and reminders you ask us to send on your behalf, telling you about billing, and answering you when you write to us. These are part of the service rather than something to subscribe to, and we send them for as long as the account is open. Marketing email is a separate thing entirely: it needs your consent, you are never required to give it, refusing it changes nothing about the service or these terms, and you can withdraw it at any time. Notices under these terms are given by email to the address on your account.

Your data is yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into Telore. You grant us the permission we need to host and process it in order to run the service. You can export your data at any time while your account is open.

Data protection

When we process personal data in your company's records — its books, documents, connections, and the details of its customers, suppliers, employees and directors — we do so as your processor, only on your instructions, under our data processing terms at telore.com/legal/dpa. Those terms form part of this agreement and meet the requirements of Article 28 of the UK GDPR; where they and these terms differ about personal data, the data processing terms apply. The companies we use to provide the service are listed at telore.com/legal/sub-processors. For your account and your use of Telore we are the controller, as our privacy policy explains.

Acceptable use

Do not use Telore to break the law, to launder money, to disguise the ownership of funds, or to interfere with the service or other customers. See the acceptable use policy for detail.

Payment

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose. You can cancel at any time and your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-periods except where the law requires it.

Availability

We work to keep Telore available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

Third-party connections

Connections to banks and payment providers depend on those providers. We are not responsible for their availability, their data, or changes they make to their services.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
