VAT · Making Tax Digital

Your VAT return, built as the quarter goes along

Every invoice, bill and receipt adds to your VAT return as it is recorded. When the quarter ends, Telore shows you the nine boxes, how each was worked out, and what is due — then files it to HMRC under Making Tax Digital when you approve.

A VAT return built from the quarter's records, ready for approval.

Example view

Nine boxes, every line traceable

Open any box on the return and see the invoices and payments behind it. Nothing on the return is a number you cannot follow back.

  • Standard, flat-rate and cash accounting schemes
  • Box-by-box working
  • Corrections carried to the right period

Deadlines you will not miss

A return and its payment are due one calendar month and seven days after the quarter ends. Telore shows the date, the amount and how many days are left.

  • Reminders before each deadline
  • What to set aside, as you go
  • Every past return kept with its working

Making Tax Digital asks VAT-registered businesses to keep digital records and file through compatible software. Telore is built to do both, and files only after you approve.

  • You approve before anything is sent
  • HMRC's response recorded with the return
  • The VAT registration threshold watched for you

How it works

  1. Step 1: Record

Sales and purchases add their VAT to the open return as they are recorded.

  2. Step 2: Review

At the end of the quarter, read the nine boxes and the working behind them.

  3. Step 3: Approve and file

Approve the return and Telore submits it; HMRC's answer is kept with it.
